The Government has approved a draft agreement between Ukraine and the United States, which will allow our country to receive almost USD 7.9 billion in financial and economic support. Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal announced this during the CMU session.
"This is the money within the new U.S. aid package to be transferred to the budget of Ukraine," the Head of Government explained.
In addition, the decision to attract up to EUR 100 million from the European Investment Bank was endorsed. According to the Prime Minister, the funding will be used for lending to small and medium-sized businesses.
Overall, Ukraine has already received USD 11.8 billion in international financial assistance this year. This includes IMF funds, EU funds under the Ukraine Facility programme, and funds from other partners: Japan, Canada, and the United Kingdom.
