  • Ukraine is implementing a new project of the International Organization for Migration

    September 24, First Deputy Minister of Social Policy Olha Krentovska met with International Organization for Migration (IOM) Ukraine Chief of Mission Dr. Thomas Lothar Weiss.

    In the meeting there also took part acting Head of the State Employment Service of Ukraine (central office) Valerii Yaroshenko, representatives of the Directorate for the Development of Labor Market and Employment, Directorate of Labor Rules and Standards.

    During the meeting a new IOM project Facilitating Migrant and Diaspora Investment in Ukraine was presented, which will be launched on October 1, 2018 and is planned for 15 months.

    A comprehensive study aimed to develop a strategy for migrants to invest in Ukraine will be carried out within the framework of the IOM project. It is also planned to conduct a series of training courses for representatives of ministries and other stakeholders on labor migration management and the attraction of labor migrants to the Ukrainian economy.
