Volodymyr Lapa, Head of the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection, met with a Canadian delegation represented by members the Canadian Embassy in Ukraine and Canadian agricultural associations.
During the meeting, current cooperation between Ukraine and Canada was discussed, in particular, in the context of the anniversary of the Free Trade Area between the two countries.
Moreover, the participants of the talks discussed prospects for further cooperation, including the import of livestock and its genetic material into Ukraine, as well as the export of bees and packages of bees, poultry, egg products, apples, etc. from Ukraine to Canada.
Volodymyr Lapa noted the fruitful and professional cooperation with the Canadian competent authority in respect of the observance of international principles and standards. In turn, the Embassy's Sales Representative thanked the Service for the recent signing of international veterinary certificates for the import of fodder to Ukraine.
