On Saturday, June 24, the Government approved an action plan to optimise the processes of military medical examination for 2023. The plan aims to provide servicemen with a proper and fast service of military medical examination and reduce the burden on healthcare facilities in the system of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, other components of the defence forces and municipal healthcare facilities.
Automation of the military medical examination process will be introduced, as well as integration of medical processes between the military and civilian components will be introduced. Other objectives of the plan include the elimination of excessive bureaucracy and the provision of social guarantees to servicemen.
"With this decision, we are implementing effective processes that can ensure the quality of the preliminary medical examination under martial law. The network of military medical commissions will be expanded, digital tools will be introduced, and premises will be equipped to meet the requirements of people with disabilities. Information campaigns will be conducted to ensure that every serviceman clearly knows his rights when undergoing a military medical commission, treatment or rehabilitation," said Minister of Defence of Ukraine Oleksii Reznikov.
The units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, the Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine, the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine and the public are actively cooperating to implement these tasks.
