Ukraine is actively sowing winter crops. Farmers in all regions except Zakarpattia have already sown 1,155,000 hectares, including 905,900 hectares of winter rape and 249,000 hectares of winter grains (wheat – 228,600 hectares, barley – 10,800 hectares, and rye – 9,500 hectares).
In the previous week, 251,000 hectares of winter rape and 204,000 hectares of winter grains were sown.
Farmers in Volyn, Poltava, Rivne, Sumy, Ternopil and Chernivtsi regions have finished sowing winter rape.
Sumy region has sown 25,900 hectares of winter grains, or 50% of the forecast, and Dnipropetrovsk region has sown 93,400 hectares of winter rape, or 74.4% of the forecast.
