
More than 300,000 jobs will be created in Ukraine due to the eRobota project, says Yulia Svyrydenko
The implementation of eRobota government grant programs project will make it possible to create more than 300,000 new jobs in Ukraine, told the First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine - Minister of Economy Yulia Svyrydenko.
"The Government has launched a number of grant programs as a powerful tool for supporting small and medium-sized businesses. Any entrepreneur who wants to develop his business or start a new one can receive non-refundable assistance from the state. It will also stimulate the creation of jobs that Ukrainians need now. We expect that the implementation of all grant programs within the eRobota project will provide an opportunity to create more than 300,000 new jobs," said Yulia Svyrydenko.
According to her, Ukrainians show a high interest in grant programs. To date, about 10,000 citizens have applied for grants with the majority of applications – 8,500 - for receiving a micro-grant for starting or developing one's own business.
As a reminder, the eRobota project includes 6 grant programs aimed at stimulating entrepreneurial activity. In particular, these are programs of micro-grants for opening or developing one's own business, grants for the creation and development of processing enterprises, planting a garden and viticulture activities, greenhouse farming, support for IT startups and starting a business in the IT sphere.
The first 227 winners of the micro-grant program have already received money in their accounts. The total amount of money transferred to them amounted to UAH 52.7 million.
