    Access to information is an efficient tool that returns to citizens the most important status - the status of the host, who hires the authorities and also controls them. Deputy Director/ Head of the sector of the right to apply and receive information of the Department of Information Rights Monitoring of the Secretariat of the Ombudsperson for Human Rights Oleksii Kabanov.

    He expressed his opinion on opening the seminar "Ensuring proper level of access to public information by central executive authorities".

    The event taking place at the Government House is organized by the Eidos Centre for Political Studies and Analysis and the Information and Communication Department of the Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

    It is planned to discuss a number of topical issues. In particular, the methodology for evaluation of the level of providing access to public information by the authorities, the latest developments in the judicial practice in the field of the right to access to public information, the most common violations that commit information holders, etc. In addition, a discussion on key issues that prevent information holders from providing relevant access to information and how to overcome the problems will take place.
