    The Government public initiative “Together against corruption" is a successful story of cooperation with public experts, which has a significant impact on the openness of the Government. This was stated by State Secretary of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine Volodymyr Bondarenko during the session of the Government-public initiative "Together against corruption": experience of partnership" within the framework of the Government is open! initiative, which launched the Open Government Week being held for the first time in Ukraine.

      Volodymyr Bondarenko recalled the said Government public initiative was triggered in 2016 with the support of  Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman. The Government in synergy with the public experts prepared and approved an anti-corruption plan of measures containing 83 commitments.

    "The initiative has already yielded results, which significantly affect the increase of the Government's openness," the State Secretary of the CMU stressed. According to him, the Government abolished many unnecessary procedures and introduced a lot of improvements. "Together we will overcome those problematic issues," Volodymyr Bondarenko emphasized.

    In turn, the coordinator of the Government public initiative Oxana Velichko aired a proposal to launch similar initiatives in the regions because "it is a good platform for interaction of  best experts and representatives of the government, aimed at minimizing corruption in specifically designated sectors."
