The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, following the principles of increased attention to providing housing and services to the security and defense agencies’ personnel, approved the Procedure for the provision with housing on the terms of financial leasing by the State Institution of Police staff and personnel of the ordinary and management staff of the Civil Protection Service. Such a move will not only help to resolve the housing issue for the families of servicemen but will also provide additional incentives to ensure diligent performance of duties.

A principle of offering housing in financial leasing was discussed last fall during a Government sitting. At that time, representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs noted that the housing issue was quite acute for employees. And it is vital to find the solutions that would further motivate people who daily risk their lives and ensure public security in Ukraine. For this very reason a program of financial leasing, the term of which will be from 2 to 20 years, was shaped. The percentage of compensation of lease payments will amount to 30-40%, herewith the remuneration for the lessor will be fully paid by the state.

Commenting on approval of the decision, Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman earlier stressed that this was a good and motivational initiative. Now, the Government has endorsed a mechanism for implementing the set objectives. According to Volodymyr Groysman, this mechanism and significant government assistance, first and foremost, the financial support appear direct domestications of the key priorities of the Cabinet of Ministers, which are based on economic growth and investment of economic achievements in the welfare of citizens.
