  • Government has amended the Action Plan on Implementation of the Association Agreement with the EU containing over 2,000 measures

    Today, on November 20, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted a resolution amending the Action Plan on Implementation of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU.

    The updated plan takes into account the deepening of the Ukraine-EU bilateral relations and a series of decisions adopted by the bilateral bodies of the Association Agreement in recent years. The Action Plan aims to ensure the accomplishment of the targets contained in the Government's Action Program, namely to achieve Ukraine's compliance with the criteria for EU membership.

    The amended document actualizes, aligns and coordinates the objectives with dynamically evolving EU law. The updated tasks relate to the following areas:

    - customs and financial policy, taxation, entrepreneurship, financial services and competition;

    - justice, social and humanitarian issues;

    - transport;

    - energy economy and energy efficiency;

    - digital sphere, science, technology and innovation;

    - nature management and others.

    The Government's decision allows to reset the software for the executive programme of European integration of Ukraine. This will accelerate Ukraine's advancement towards the EU, in parallel making this process more transparent, and the authorities really accountable to citizens of Ukraine.

    As was reported, the Government has opened to the public an access to the Pulse of the Agreement - an online system for the monitoring of the progress in the implementation of the Action Plan on Implementation of the Association Agreement with the EU. The system is available at http://pulse.eu-ua.org.
