On June 25, the Government approved the Procedure for reimbursement by project partners and beneficiaries of technical assistance of improperly spent funds allocated by the European Union to finance the Danube Transnational Program.

This procedure is designed to fulfil the international obligations under the Agreement on the Financing of the Danube Transnational Program signed between the Government of Ukraine and the European Union.

The mentioned document developed by the Ministry for Communities and Territories Development defines the procedure for reimbursement by Ukrainian beneficiaries implementing projects under the Danube Transnational Program in Zakarpattia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Odesa and Chernivtsi regions for improperly spent European Union funds.

"The adopted resolution will trigger the start of the process of reimbursement to Ukrainian beneficiaries of projects incurred by them at the expense of EU funds, as well as provide opportunities for further participation of Ukraine in the Program and implementation of cross-border cooperation projects aimed at solving current problems of four Ukrainian regions," Minister for Communities and Territories Development Oleksiy Chernyshov stressed.
