The Government will allocate UAH 200,000 to the families of the victims of a plane crash in Iran and ensure due implementation of the insurance payments under the Montreal Convention. This was stated by Prime Minister of Ukraine Oleksiy Honcharuk.
"Hideous pain of this tragedy will never fade away. We express deepest condolences to the families and loved ones of the victims.The state will provide comprehensive support and assistance, including legal and financial aid", the Head of Government stressed.
Apart from that, according to the PM, the Ukrainian International Airlines in accordance with the collective agreement will make payments to the families of the crew members.
"Our diplomatic officials are already working on all tools available in the international legal field to obtain compensation from the Iranian side. I understand that no compensation will dull this pain, but Ukraine stands for justice" , Oleksiy Honcharuk underscored.
