The Government has allocated UAH 100,000 to each of 35 detainees released on September 7th. The relevant decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine was approved unanimously at its meeting on September 11, 2019.

“Today the Government supported the initiative of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and allotted 100 thousand hryvnias as one-off assistance to all 35 prisoners released from Russian captivity on September 7 this year. The funds will be transferred by the Ministry of Finance in the framework of a separate budget program for the Ministry for Veterans Affairs, Temporarily Occupied Territories and Internally Displaced Persons of Ukraine”, said Prime Minister of Ukraine Oleksiy Honcharuk.
