The Government at its first sitting this year approved the decision on the establishment of the Strategic Committee headed by the Head of Government with the participation of all members of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. The purpose of the committee's work is to shape policies and foundations for government decisions in the context of country’s transition to three-year budget planning.

Commenting on the establishment  of the committee, the Prime Minister stressed that the composition (committee) will include all members of the Government and all strategic issues of the country's development are to be considered on a regular basis.

According to the Prime Minister, transition to three-year budget planning which envisages formation of  large strategic development directions is confidence, predictability and stability.
