
Government has simplified the rules for the distribution of medical supplies for defenders of Ukraine and the regions’ purposes
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has supplemented the Procedure for using funds provided in the state budget to ensure implementation of medical measures of certain state programs and comprehensive program measures for the effective and operational management of supply chains of centralized purchasing of medicines, medical devices, and sanitary transport.
"Under martial law, promptness to respond to needs plays a major role in saving the lives of Ukrainians. That is why we are simplifying the conditions for the use of funds and the distribution of medical products. The approved changes will allow to respond faster to new challenges and ensure centralized distribution of purchased medical goods, including ambulances to law enforcement agencies," said First Deputy Minister of Health Olexandr Komarida. "In addition, we have got an opportunity to promptly distribute such products to the regions with an increased number of patients."
The approved amendments to the resolution supplement the Procedure for the use of funds with new points that will allow the distribution of medicines, medical devices, therapeutic appliances and specialized ambulances purchased within the budget allocations, among the following authorities:
- Security Service of Ukraine,
- Ministry of Defense of Ukraine,
- Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine,
- The Armed Forces of Ukraine,
- The National Guard of Ukraine,
- The National Police of Ukraine.
The resolution also provides for amendments to the Procedure to provide an opportunity for the Ministry of Health to distribute goods and services ordered for regions where active hostilities are taking place to other regions, as well as to determine the need for goods to ensure the provision of medical care in martial law at the national level.
