With its decision the Government has approved amendments to the Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 211 “On prevention of the spread of COVID-19 acute respiratory disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus in Ukraine”, which expands the list of business activities permitted during the quarantine period. In addition, the Government has provided a recommendation to businesses to strengthen controls on compliance with sanitary and anti-epidemic requirements.
In particular, during quarantine, it is allowed to:
• sale of spare parts for vehicles, including tractors and other agricultural machinery;
• sale of growing birds;
• operation of all types of financial institutions, including pawnshops and credit unions.
The Government also provided a number of business recommendations that would help reduce queues and mass gatherings in stores and ensure that anti-epidemic measures were implemented, including:
• for pharmacies to operate around the clock;
• to allow visitors to front shops, no more than one visitor per 10 square meters keeping the distance of 1.5 meters, etc.
“We are working to ensure the optimal functioning of key industries against the background of challenges during the quarantine. The adopted changes simplify making business conditions, encourage agrarian companies for spring sowing campaign, simplify public access to financial resources and strengthen implementation of anti-epidemic measures,” commented Minister of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine Ihor Petrashko.
