Ukraine can create a Public Debt Management Agency of Ukraine, which will allow to manage budget funds more effectively and to realize long-term goals in the sphere of public debt management. Minister of Finance Oksana Markarova said during an extraordinary meeting of the Government.

The Minister also presented a draft law "On Amendments to the Budget Code of Ukraine", which stipulates for the introduction of a European practice of public debt management and the establishment of a Public Debt Management Agency.

The Agency shall be a central executive body with a special status and be under the general supervision of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine.
