The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine proposes to amend the Budget Code of Ukraine and to direct a part of funds obtained from paying administrative fines for traffic violation, first of all – speeding fines, to the road safety measures.  The relevant decisions were approved during the Government sitting and will be submitted  for consideration to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. Commenting on the decision, Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman noted that the issue of road safety is of ultimate significance.

"Therefore, people will know that funds obtained from paying fines are directed to road safety measures", Volodymyr Groysman said. "Imposition of fine is a forced step. And I do not need any fines or punishment, I want people to be safe", the Prime Minister claimed.
