The Cabinet of Ministers at its session on August 11 approved a decision to extend adaptive quarantine and the state of emergency until October 1, 2021.
According to the Prime Minister, the current epidemic situation is completely under control, but experts are beginning to record the first negative trends in the number of hospitalizations and patients with severe coronavirus disease.
"The Ministry of Health is preparing hospitals, and the number of beds with oxygen support, according to the Ministry of Health, makes up almost 100%. In addition, 15,000 oxygen concentrators have been purchased separately, which will allow Ukrainians to be treated on outpatient care," the Head of Government said.
Moreover, Denys Shmyhal stressed that almost 1 million shots were given in Ukraine last week.
"We will continue to accelerate the pace of vaccination. We have enough vaccines so that everyone can get protection. Deliveries take place regularly, both at the expense of the state budget and in the form of assistance from our international partners," Denys Shmyhal underlined.
