Today, on December 11, with its decision the Government has returned to state ownership 14 illegally sold property complexes of the State Food and Grain Corporation of Ukraine PJSC.

Under the decision, the complexes located in 14 regions were transferred to the sphere of management of the Ministry of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture after by decision of the court the assets had been withdrawn from the private property of the State Food and Grain Corporation of Ukraine and returned to the state ownership by the Cabinet of Ministers.

“The transfer of state property to the private sector should be held solely on a transparent basis and through fair competition. The story of the transfer of these 14 property complexes is a long-lasting story when the then local government had illegally handed them over to private owners. By court decision, we have recovered them to the public. We have to determine their future in compliance with the general rules of the state property management reform”, comments on the decision Prime Minister of Ukraine Oleksiy Honcharuk.
