Government to submit draft State Budget on September 15 and counts on the systemic budgetary process, says Volodymyr Groysman

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine will submit a draft state budget within the requirements stipulated by law, on September 15, and expects the whole budget process to be systemic while discussions - constructive. This was stated by Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman during the forum "Total Mobilization: Joint Plan of Action".

"We expect that the budgetary process will be systemic. On September 15 we will submit a draft law (to the Verkhovna Rada). A month later the first reading, debate, discussions are due to take place. We stick to the idea of a realistic budget and stand for the impossibility of unsupported expenditures, which is a strategc issue", said Volodymyr Groysman.

Background

Prime Minister of Ukraine has reiterated for a number of times that the priority financing programs will be preserved in the draft budget, including those launched in the current year and in 2017. At that, the financing of the army will slightly exceed 5% of GDP, and the minimum wage will increase to about UAH 4170.
