    The Government of Ukraine plans to gradually monetize all existing benefits following an example of the monetization of utility subsidies. The Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman said in an interview with the Interfax-Ukraine news agency.

    The Head of Government emphasized that monetization of subsidies is not an experiment, but a fundamental project, which is vital to prolong.

    "Last year we established a register of beneficiaries ... The second issue that we implemented – starting January 1, we have launched the monetization of the subsidy to everyone who received it for the first time", said Volodymyr Groysman. "We mustn’t stop here. Next in line is we have to monetize all the benefits."

    The Head of Government also noted in the area of monetization of subsidies there is no poor statistics of non-payment. "Panic-mongers are trying to overblow the situation (regarding payment failures). But this is the money of people and it is for people to decide where to spend this money. The consumer will try to save these funds, economize to leave a certain share of this money to satisfy their needs", added the Prime Minister.
