The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine is well aware about the situation in the market of tourist services in Ukraine and is gearing up decisions that will help to eliminate the unfortunate cases of violation or non-fulfillment of the terms of contracts with consumers of tourist services, as well as to enhance the liability of travel agencies. This was stated by Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman.
He emphasized that currently the tourist business is mostly private and licensed in accordance with the law. It is almost impossible to carry out operative tracking the capacity of companies and compare it with the volume of signed contracts with consumers. Meanwhile, the existing facts of improper fulfillment of contractual conditions are a "serious message that problems exist" and it is necessary to review the qualification requirements for travel companies and airlines.
"I commissioned First Vice Prime Minister Stepan Kubiv together with the Ministry of Infrastructure to set up a group, to assess the situation, to bring to responsibility such companies (those delivering inappropriate services). But we understand the current situation and we think about how to strengthen the responsibility of companies", said Volodymyr Groysman.
