The reform of the work of the State Fiscal Service introduced by the Government in the part of customs departments, as well as a set of measures to overcome shadow schemes at the border, gave an opportunity to institutionally change the work of the customs service towards reducing direct contact with employees and increasing the analytical component. This was announced by Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman on air of TRK Ukrayina.

"We still engage in institutional reshaping of the activities of the customs service in terms of analytical work. It is rather good that Parliament passed a law on single window environment for customs. And most importantly: it's one of our recent decisions - as a result of an international tender, we are already buying scanners that will x-ray vehicles at the borders. It means that it would be much harder to conceal any product, or to make reassorting as X-ray scanners would be used for that and here the human factor will be minimized", said Volodymyr Groysman.

He reminded that transparent bidding on scanners had allowed to save UAH 600 million that made up half of the declared funds. "We are right on track and will procees. I am ready to open the customs for all the services so that they control one another. The more publicity, the more transparency, the more openness we demonstrate in our activities, the closer we are to high quality work and equitable outcome", summed up the Prime Minister.
