On Wednesday, April 29, at its regular meeting, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine will consider resuming the operation of some food markets.
The Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal announced during a meeting with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy dedicated to the issues of the fight against COVID-19.
The Head of Government noted that this was made possible due to the clear criteria for the operation of such markets and the algorithm of control elaborated by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine and the Ministry of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine.
“It concerns the resuming of operation of 281 food markets all over Ukraine, which will be able to function in a regime no worse than supermarkets. That is, with adhering to strict sanitary standards, violation of which will carry severe penalties even to the closure of markets for a certain period,” said Denys Shmyhal.
According to the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal, the corresponding changes regarding the resumption of operation of food markets will be included in Resolution No. 211 at the regular Government meeting on Wednesday, April 29.
