  • Government of Ukraine approves allocation of subvention for payment of monetary compensation for housing for IDPs who defended the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine

    The Law of Ukraine "On the State Budget of Ukraine for 2023" provides for the allocation of national expenditures to the Ministry of Veterans' Affairs under budget programme 1511050. This is a subvention from the state budget for the payment of monetary compensation for internally displaced persons who defended the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine and are recognised as combatants or persons with disabilities as a result of war of group III in the amount of UAH 3,264,682,400.

    The Government supported a draft decree developed by the Ministry of Veterans' Affairs, which provides for the allocation of subventions under budget programme 1511050 in the amount of UAH 2,003,487,383 for the payment of financial compensation to internally displaced persons who defended the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.

    "At the expense of the distributed funds, approximately 860 persons of this category who have been in the queue for its payment, according to the submitted need as of 01.03.2023, will receive financial compensation. The distribution of the remaining subvention in the amount of UAH 1,261,195,017 will be carried out by the Ministry of Veterans' Affairs based on information on the need to provide financial compensation to those recipients who were awarded it in the territories where hostilities are taking place or temporarily occupied by the russian federation, and have not been paid and who have moved from these territories as of 01.06.2023," said Ruslan Prykhodko, Director of the Department of Social Protection of the Ministry of Veterans' Affairs.
