Government has approved the procedure for compensating for utility services at IDP evacuation centers
The Government has approved a procedure for compensating for utility services at IDP evacuation centers.
“We are introducing a clear reimbursement mechanism for owners or tenants of temporary evacuation centers, intermediate points, transit centers, and reception centers where evacuees stay until further relocation or resettlement. Compensation will cover the cost of consumed utilities—heat, water, and electricity—as well as expenses for liquefied gas, solid, and liquid household heating fuel,” said Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko.
According to her, applications for compensation can now be submitted online through the personal account on the Pension Fund’s e-services portal. Compensation payments shall be made monthly by the 25th.
The National Social Service and its regional offices will oversee the disbursement of payments.
“The State continues to systematically support people who were forced to leave their homes, as well as those who provide them with temporary shelter,” noted Yulia Svyrydenko.
