Government triggers targeted assistance for pensioners and vulnerable groups: UAH 1,500 to be disbursed in April

Department of Information and Public Communications of the Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, posted 18 March 2026 19:34

The Government is launching targeted assistance for pensioners and vulnerable categories of the population. The program is aimed specifically at those citizens who need assistance from the state due to their income level. This was announced by Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko.

“A one-time payment of UAH 1,500 will be disbursed in April. Nearly 13 million people will receive it: elderly pensioners, people with disabilities, low-income families, recipients of basic social assistance, IDPs among social benefit recipients, large families, and single mothers,” the Head of Government noted.

The funds will be credited automatically through the same mechanisms by which people already receive pensions and social benefits—to bank accounts or via Ukrposhta. No applications or additional requests are required.
