The Government is ensuring the possibility of carrying out routine repairs on frontline roads that are critical for the logistics of the Defence Forces. This was announced by Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko.

Responsibility for the restoration of motorways in frontline territories and within a 40 km zone from the line of combat operations will lie with the State Special Transport Service.

“The Government has adopted the relevant decision, which will allow work to begin immediately on priority routes – where troops are moving, the wounded are being evacuated, and supplies are being delivered,” noted Yulia Svyrydenko.

The Government has designated the State Special Transport Service as the sole customer for works and procurements related to the routine repair and maintenance of roads in the combat zone and near it. The list and prioritisation are determined by the General Staff. Works will begin immediately after the list is approved and damage is inspected.

Funding will be provided within the budget of the State Special Transport Service.
