The Cabinet of Ministers has allocated over UAH 21 million more for compensation for free accommodation of IDPs in institutions. This refers to compensation for utilities consumed during the free stay of internally displaced persons in state-owned, municipal and private facilities. The decision was made at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers.
The document provides for the allocation of more than UAH 21.4 million from the State Budget Reserve Fund to the relevant institutions to cover utility costs for May 2024. The funding will be allocated as follows:
- more than UAH 3.2 million to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food, the Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of Education and Science, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Industrial Policy, and the Ministry of Social Policy to pay compensation to state-owned institutions under their management;
- more than UAH 17.5 million to municipal institutions, state educational institutions transferred for financing from local budgets, and jointly owned institutions of territorial communities of the region and district managed by regional and district councils.
The Ministry for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories will provide the above subsidy from the State Budget to local budgets according to the approved distribution between regional budgets.
In addition, over UAH 631,000 is provided to regional military administrations to pay compensation to private institutions (except for private educational institutions).
