Today, on 27 August, the Cabinet of Ministers adopted a resolution to redistribute part of the budget allocations envisaged by the Ministry of Finance in 2024 to ensure the institutional capacity of local state (military) administrations of Sumy, Kharkiv and Kherson regions.

Thus, the act provides for an increase in budget allocations for the remuneration of employees of regional and district state (military) administrations exercising their powers in the territories of active or possible hostilities, based on the processing of requests from the administrations.

In particular, UAH 158.1 million was distributed as follows:

• UAH 25.8 million to the Sumy Regional State (Military) Administration, including UAH 21.2 million for salaries;
• UAH 47.6 million to the Kharkiv Regional State (Military) Administration, including UAH 39 million for salaries;
• UAH 84.7 million to Kherson regional state (military) administration, including UAH 69.4 million for salaries.

These funds are necessary to strengthen the institutional capacity of local executive authorities in the regions affected by the hostilities, to enable them to respond effectively to security challenges and to meet the basic needs of the population.
