At a meeting on 16 January, the Government approved a decision to allocate UAH 792 million from the state budget reserve fund to strengthen defence capability. This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.
“These additional funds will be allocated to military units for very urgent needs. For the purchase of ammunition, thermal imagers, drones,” the Head of Government said.
The Prime Minister noted that this was additional funding for each brigade (in proportion to the personal income tax paid in December).
