The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved a decision to allocate 732.5 million hryvnias from the state budget’s reserve fund for the implementation of engineering and technical measures in the field of heat supply. The funds are being directed to regional state administrations for the installation of modular boiler houses and cogeneration plants in communities.

The resource is intended for projects involving the construction, reconstruction, and major repairs of thermal power generation facilities, which will strengthen the energy resilience of regions and ensure a stable heating season.

The funding is allocated as follows:

  • Installation of modular boiler houses – UAH 424.8 million;
  • Installation of cogeneration plants – UAH 307.7 million.

“This is a decision that allows communities to strengthen their independence in energy supply. Modular boiler houses and cogeneration plants make it possible to rapidly deploy local generation and reduce the risk of disruptions in heat supply. This is a practical tool for preparing for the heating season amid constant attacks on the energy sector,” noted Vitalii Kindrativ, Deputy Minister of Economy, Environment, and Agriculture of Ukraine.

Implementing this solution will allow communities to increase the autonomy of their heat supply, reduce dependence on centralized systems, and ensure more reliable operation of critical infrastructure under martial law.
