The Ministry for Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development of Ukraine will receive UAH 4.4 billion from the Fund for Elimination of the Consequences of Armed Aggression to pay assistance under the eVidnovlennia programme. The relevant decision was made at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on Tuesday.
In particular, the Government approved amendments to the Procedure for the Use of the Fund for Elimination of the Consequences of Armed Aggression, approved by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 118 of 10 February 2023, to allocate UAH 4.4 billion to pay compensation for the restoration of certain categories of real estate damaged as a result of hostilities, terrorist acts, sabotage caused by armed aggression.
It is worth noting, on May 10, the eVidnovlennia programme was launched, allowing all Ukrainian citizens whose homes were damaged by the armed aggression of the russian federation and have not yet been repaired to use the service to receive state aid to restore their homes. As of May 17, more than 10,000 applications have been received under the eVidnovlennia programme.
The Fund for Elimination of the Consequences of Armed Aggression was established as part of a special fund of the State Budget of Ukraine for the purpose of liquidating the impact (including humanitarian, social and economic) caused by the armed aggression of the russian federation against Ukraine.
The Fund's resources are used, in particular, to finance local and regional recovery projects approved by the Interagency Working Group. The first meeting of the Interagency Working Group to review the recovery projects took place last week.
