    Ministry of Economy of Ukraine, posted 16 January 2024 14:27

    The Government has amended Resolution No. 76 of 27 January 2023, which regulates the reservation of persons liable for military service during martial law, to include the reservation of employees of defence industry enterprises. The relevant decision was adopted at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on 16 January 2024.

    According to the decision, employees of enterprises, institutions and organisations designated by the Ministry of Strategic Industries as critical to the defence industry are entitled to reservation:

    • regardless of military rank, age and military speciality;
    • without any restrictions on the number of persons liable for military service to be reserved.

    "From now on, defence companies will have the right to reserve their employees liable for military service without any restrictions on the number of employees and without taking into account the level of shortage of their military speciality. This decision is aimed at strengthening the potential of the defence industry and enabling defence companies to operate steadily and increase production. This decision is a joint position of the Ministry of Defence, the Ministry of Strategic Industry and the Ministry of Economy. Our top priority is to provide our defenders with everything they need to win," commented Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine Ihor Fomenko.
