  • Government authorized Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yuliia Svyrydenko to coordinate the work on the sanctions policy

    First Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yuliia Svyridenko will coordinate the work on the shaping and implementation of the state sanctions policy.

    At its session on September 30, the Government has adopted the corresponding changes to the list of issues that belong to the competence of the First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine and Deputy Prime Ministers of Ukraine.

    Earlier, the Cabinet of Ministers set up an interdepartmental working group on the implementation of the state sanctions policy with Yuliia Svyrydenko being appointed to lead.

    The IWG comprises representatives of the Ministries of Economy, Finance, Justice, Internal Affairs and Foreign Affairs, on Reintegration of temporarily Occupied Territories, while experts from other state bodies and departments are also involved. Tasks include analysis of the current state of implementation of the applied sanctions, development and submission of relevant recommendations to the Government.

    Proposals for the application, cancellation and amendment of sanctions before submission to the Cabinet of Ministers for approval will be subject to mandatory preliminary consideration by the Interdepartmental Working Group on Implementation of the State Sanctions Policy.
