Government approves restoration of Chernihiv Central District Hospital polyclinic using funds raised via UNITED24 platform

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted a resolution providing for the allocation of funds to restore the polyclinic department of Chernihiv Central District Hospital.

The medical facility sustained significant damage due to a missile strike in 2022. Since then, outpatient care has been provided in a temporary facility with limited capacity.

The restoration of the polyclinic is financed through a charitable contribution from the Mécénat Servier fund, raised via the UNITED24 platform, amounting to over UAH 287 million.

This funding will enable a major renovation of the three-storey polyclinic building.

The project includes not only the refurbishment of external structures but also a complete modernisation of the building’s interior. Specifically, the restoration will involve setting up a shelter, updating the interiors of the premises, and equipping consultation rooms with basic medical equipment. Additionally, plans include installing infection control measures and necessary sanitary equipment.

The restoration of the polyclinic will restore access to quality outpatient services for over 150,000 residents of the Chernihiv district, including internally displaced persons.

The project is part of a broader effort to restore medical infrastructure within the network of capable healthcare facilities.

As a reminder, a new outpatient clinic was recently built in Sumy region to replace one destroyed by russian forces, funded through donations collected via UNITED24.
