The Government has allocated UAH 1.3 billion of loan funds from the Council of Europe Development Bank to the Ministry of Health. This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal during an offsite meeting of the Government in Zaporizhzhia region.

“This is a resource for the restoration of medical institutions. During the full-scale war, we have already fully or partially restored 885 hospitals, and this work will continue,’ the Head of Government stressed.

The Prime Minister stressed that it was also important to ensure children’s access to quality education. To this end, the Government has adopted a decree that will help attract a USD 235 million loan from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development and USD 150 million from the International Development Association.

“These funds will be invested in improving teaching and learning conditions in line with the standards of the New Ukrainian School,” the Prime Minister said.
