The Government has adopted a decision that will allow educational institutions to be supplied with textbooks on time, Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko announced.

"We are improving the entire system — from planning to the timely delivery of books before the start of the school year. The decision establishes clearer deadlines, a high-quality competitive selection process, printing, and the creation of a reserve fund to ensure that textbooks are delivered without delay. In this way, we are providing a reserve of textbooks for Ukrainian schools and educational centres abroad," the Head of Government emphasised.

The Prime Minister also announced that the Government is introducing two-year planning with annual testing of textbooks: "This year, we will begin preparing new textbooks for grades 1 and 5, which will be delivered to schools in 2028. This will improve the quality of educational literature and give more time for the translation and adaptation of materials for students, including children with special educational needs."
