Government adopts a decision to reboot Energoatom – suspend management and launch an audit of the company: Yulia Svyrydenko
The Government has adopted initial decisions on restarting Energoatom – suspension of management and commencement of company audit. This was announced by Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko.
"Amidst the full-scale war, when the enemy is destroying the energy sector and the whole country is living according to power outage schedules, any corruption is unacceptable. The Government has already passed the first decisions: the dismissal of two ministers, sanctions against those involved in the NABU materials, as well as the restart of Energoatom – the suspension of management and the start of an audit of the company," the Prime Minister emphasized.
She also noted that an integrated decision was being prepared for all national companies, including power generating ones. An audit is being conducted, and supervisory boards have been instructed to check the performance of these companies, particularly in terms of procurement.
“The enemy continues to shell us every night. Our challenge remains the same – to provide every Ukrainian family with electricity, gas, and heat,” said Yulia Svyrydenko. “Eradicating corruption is a matter of honor and, most importantly, of dignity. We bear responsibility before our defenders.”
