Government prioritizes restoring power in Konotop and will provide diesel fuel
Prime Minister of Ukraine Sergii Koretskyi spoke with the city head of Konotop about the electricity supply situation in the city after a Russian attack on an energy infrastructure facility.
Konotop has now been without electricity for five days. Critical infrastructure is running on backup power sources, and Points of Invincibility have been set up in the city.
"I have instructed the Ministry of Energy, together with Ukrenergo, to urgently look into the situation and restore electricity supply in the city as soon as possible," said Sergii Koretskyi.
In addition, the Government will provide Konotop with the necessary supply of diesel fuel today for the operation of alternative power sources. The fuel is needed to keep the boiler house and the water utility running.
