Government simplifies reservation of employees for domestic manufacturers of transformer equipment for the energy sector

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has adopted a decision that will allow key specialists to be retained at enterprises producing and restoring transformer equipment for the energy sector. This involves amendments to the procedure for reserving conscripted employees during mobilisation and martial law.

The decision has a practical purpose – to ensure the uninterrupted operation of Ukraine’s energy and gas transmission systems amid martial law and the constant need to restore damaged infrastructure.

“We must retain the specialists who ensure the functioning of energy sector enterprises. The approved changes will allow transformer equipment manufacturers to operate stably and without interruptions, and the state to respond promptly to challenges,” noted Deputy Minister of Economy, Environment and Agriculture Vitaliy Kindrativ.

From now on, all conscripted employees of domestic manufacturers of transformer equipment for the energy sector are subject to reservation.

In addition, the Government has clarified the approach to designating such enterprises as critically important. Domestic manufacturers of transformer equipment for the energy sector will be able to obtain this status if they meet two or more of the established criteria.

The approved changes are expected to enable energy sector enterprises to retain key employees, avoid halting production, and promptly carry out repair and restoration work on equipment.
