Government to allocate over UAH 3 billion to restore housing and infrastructure in Vyshneve following the russian attack

At its meeting on 8 July, the Cabinet of Ministers instructed the allocation of more than UAH 3 billion from the State Budget reserve fund to address the consequences of the 6 July russian attack on the town of Vyshneve, Kyiv region.

The funding will be used to restore housing and engineering infrastructure, as well as to provide compensation to people whose property was damaged in the attack.

“Our task is to help people return to normal life as quickly as possible. The State will provide compensation to owners of damaged homes, as well as finance the reconstruction of destroyed houses and the restoration of critical infrastructure,” said Oleksii Kuleba, Deputy Prime Minister for Restoration and Minister for Communities and Territories Development.

The russian strike damaged 280 residential buildings in Vyshneve, including 253 private houses and 27 apartment buildings.

Since the start of the full-scale invasion, russia has damaged more than 167,000 and destroyed more than 41,000 buildings and other facilities. Nearly 180,000 of them are residential properties.

The allocation from the State Budget reserve fund will enable recovery works to begin promptly and ensure that affected residents receive the necessary state support.
