Government approves concept for state targeted social programme for physical culture and sports development until 2030

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved the Concept for the State Targeted Social Programme for the Development of Physical Culture and Sports until 2030. The document outlines strategic priorities, addresses contemporary challenges, and lays the foundation for systemic changes in the field of physical culture and sports.

The goal of the Concept is to create a comprehensive vision for the sector’s development, adapt it to new societal needs and legislative changes, ensure sustainable development, and improve citizens’ quality of life through physical activity and sports.

Why is the adoption of the Concept important?

It serves as a preparatory stage for developing the State Targeted Social Programme until 2030, which will comprehensively address key tasks in the sector.

The Concept envisages:

• Promoting a physically active and healthy nation;
• Developing adaptive sports and physical-sports rehabilitation;
• Supporting athletes’ preparation for international competitions;
• Advancing digital transformation in the field of physical culture and sports.
