The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved a decision expanding eligibility for monthly payments of UAH 50,000 to defenders who require prolonged inpatient treatment after being released from russian captivity, Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko announced.

“The payment will also be available to police officers and members of the Civil Protection Service who were held in russian captivity,” the Prime Minister said.

According to Yulia Svyrydenko, the payments will be available to defenders who require more than 30 days of inpatient treatment due to illness, injuries, concussion or other trauma.

“It is the State’s responsibility to ensure a dignified life for all defenders who have endured the inhumane conditions of russian captivity,” Yulia Svyrydenko stressed.
