The Government is expanding support for farmers in frontline regions who operate on irrigated lands, announced Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko following the Cabinet meeting on 30 July.

In particular, the Government has updated the mechanism for state support of agricultural producers using reclaimed lands. “We are extending irrigation support to frontline regions. This is a response to the consequences of the war, including the destruction of the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Plant, and the drought in the south,” the Prime Minister emphasised.

Yulia Svyrydenko stated that state budget funding will be allocated to the restoration and construction of hydrotechnical infrastructure, including canals, pumping stations, and pipelines. “This will enable an increase in irrigated areas and protect Ukraine’s harvest,” the Head of Government noted.
