
Government distributes UAH 1.5 billion of additional subsidies for frontline hromadas and regions: Oleksii Kuleba
In Kryvyi Rih, Dnipro region, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with the heads of hromadas of the Nikopol, Synelnykivka and Kryvyi Rih areas.
The meeting was also attended by Oleksii Kuleba, Deputy Prime Minister for Restoration of Ukraine, Minister for Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine.
"Today, the President met with those communities that are subjected to daily shelling and enemy attacks. Despite this, they are restoring housing, providing basic services and helping the army. I am grateful to all those who are standing by the people every day," Oleksii Kuleba said.
During the meeting, the President of Ukraine discussed with community leaders the priority steps to protect citizens and support communities. Among the decisions:
Today, the Government has allocated UAH 1.5 billion of additional subsidies for frontline communities and regions that need it most. Dnipropetrovsk region will receive UAH 42 million.
Next week, the Government will take a decision on additional funding for frontline communities and communities bordering russia. About UAH 10 million will be allocated to each, depending on the population. This is not a one-off assistance, but regular monthly support to address urgent needs: shelter, transport, communications, and the essentials to protect lives.
Another UAH 540 million will be spent on strengthening electronic warfare systems. This is a direct improvement in people's safety.
The participants also discussed the key projects being implemented in Dnipropetrovsk region, in particular, together with the Ministry for Communities and Territories Development:
- Construction of a water supply system in Pidhorodne - 10.7 km of new networks that will provide centralised water supply for almost 20,000 people, institutions and businesses for the first time.
- Building municipal housing for internally displaced people in Dnipro and Sofiyivka.
- In Zelenodolsk, we install four modular gas boilers to provide heat to 12,000 residents. In Zhovti Vody, we are preparing to launch a 250 MW gas turbine plant.
- Reconstruction of the main building of Kryvyi Rih City Hospital No. 2. After the renovation, the medical facility will receive up to 300 visitors a day, have 12 operating theatres, modern infrastructure and full accessibility for people with limited mobility.
"These are concrete steps to strengthen energy independence, social stability and basic services that the state must guarantee even under fire," said Oleksii Kuleba.
The meeting participants also addressed restoration and co-financing projects, solutions for evacuating residents from danger zones, support for IDPs, repair of military logistics roads and evacuation routes, which are also on the agenda of the communities.
