At an extraordinary meeting on March 13, the Government supported a draft law to increase state budget expenditures by UAH 537 billion. According to Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, more than UAH 518 billion is proposed to be allocated to the security and defense sector, and the reserve fund is to be increased by another UAH 19 billion.

“Thanks to the support of our international partners, we have secured additional financial resources to support our Army. In the draft law, we propose to allocate additional funds for payments to the military, procurement of military and special equipment, etc. We count on the support of the Parliament,” said Denys Shmyhal.

The Head of Government noted that this decision would help strengthen Ukraine’s defense capability and stop russian aggression.
