Government increases youth influence on Government's decisions
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has amended Resolution No. 1011 of September 10, 2022, to begin work on establishing the National Youth Council, a key advisory body in the field of youth policy, to be headed by Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko.
The purpose of the changes is to ensure that the Council can be launched without waiting for the end of martial law.
Matvii Bidnyi, Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine, emphasized that the establishment of the Council is an important step to involve young people in public policy making.
"Young people should have not only a voice, but also tools of influence. The National Council will become a platform where young people and the Government will work together to develop the country," stressed Matvii Bidnyi.
Implementation of the resolution does not require additional costs from the state or local budgets and will have an extremely positive impact - from expanding opportunities for self-realization of young people to increasing the effectiveness of cooperation between the Government and civil society.
