At its meeting on 29 August, the Cabinet of Ministers adopted a resolution on the reallocation of a subvention of UAH 1.7 billion for the implementation of recovery projects in the regions. This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.

“These are the funds of the European Investment Bank that we are allocating to the budgets of urban and rural communities in the territories controlled by Ukraine,” the Head of Government said.

According to the Prime Minister, the Government has allocated unprecedented funding for the rapid recovery from the Fund for the Elimination of the Consequences of Armed Aggression – over UAH 43 billion.

“These funds will be used to urgently repair energy facilities before the start of the heating season, to support communities affected by russian terrorist attacks, to build water pipelines in Dnipropetrovsk region, to build schools, hospitals, shelters and many other facilities that need to be restored,” said Denys Shmyhal.

The Prime Minister stressed that the Government had a clear policy of solidarity with communities and regions. According to him, more than UAH 118 billion in state grants and subventions have already been allocated this year for reconstruction, education and social support.
